Our Flexible and Affordable PD Model Can be Customized to Meet the Needs of Large and Small Programs
Large and Medium Programs
Comprehensive: Our most cost effective program
This package is designed for large programs or for combined medium programs in one location
Two of our staff travel to your program and do the two-day early math certification for 10 of your mentor teachers of coaches (Tuesday and Wednesday)
100 of your teaching staff complete at least two of the Early Math online modules prior to the meeting
Our staff, with the support from your mentor teachers, conduct the EMILI training (Friday)
Our staff has follow up webinars with the mentor coaches
The cost of the package is $32,500 + travel expenses for 100 teachers and 10 coaches or $44,500 + travel expenses for 150 teachers and 15 coaches.
Online Component Plus Instructional Support Workshop
Since our Instructional Support Workshop (EMILI) is discussion rich, we can only do this in groups of up to 30 teachers (for one staff) or 60 (two staff members going, and EMILI is done for two groups of 30)
After your teachers complete our online PD, our staff visits your programs and delivers the Instructional Support Training.
The cost of the package is $8,600 + travel expenses for 30 teachers and $15,500 + travel expenses for 60 teachers
There are other options
We presented two examples of packages, but there are many more options. Contact us so we can craft a package that works for you.
“I walked away not only with immediately applicable activities but also a deeper understanding on how and why children develop math skills.”
“I like using the resource book presented in the training. It describes instructional strategies to incorporate in the classroom in large group, small group and child-initiated activities.”
“They presented an adequate amount of research and a lot of hands-on activities. We were able to practice them, so we will be ready to use them”
Small and Rural Programs
Most Affordable Option
Based on our experience in rural Colorado, we know that many small districts, especially those in rural areas, have limited resources to provide professional development to their teachers. For them, we built this option:
Teachers complete the first module of our Early Math PD, including the forums, and the quiz. We follow up with a webinar after they have implemented some activities in the classroom.
The first module of our Early Math PD focuses on the most important aspects of Early Math: the Learning Trajectory of Counting and the foundations of the representation of numbers (from subitizing to representing numbers).
The cost is of this package is:
- $1,000 per 10 teachers ($100 per teacher)
- $1,500 per 20 teachers ($75 per teacher)
- $2,000 per 30 teachers ($67 per teacher)
Long Term Sustainable Plan
Small and Rural programs can take advantage of our program by sending one or two coaches or mentors to one of the Coaching Workshops in Denver and by having their teachers take the online Early Math modules. We will provide support through webinars.
Let us know about your program and we will work with you to support you
Home Care Providers
Many States and cities are passing Universal PreK initiatives and they are finding out that many children will be served by homecare providers.
It is important to provide PD in Early Math to this group and we have several options. One of them is similar to the Affordable Option where homecare teachers take the first module of our Early Math PD. We can work with the cities or states to provide the coach support. Let us know what you need.
“I plan to use math in transitions, small group, IEP goals. Sharing with the ECE teachers that I work with.”
“It helped me understand the progression of how children learn math ”
“The online course was very easy to use and self-explanatory.”
Enhanced One Day Trainings
One Module Plus Early Math Training
There are many reasons schools or districts are interested in one-day trainings, and we have an enhanced solution that combines the face-to-face training, with follow up webinars, and with one Early Math module.
Prior to the training, the teachers complete our first job-embedded Early Math module, to learn and internalize some important aspects of early math.
Then we travel to your program to give an interactive face-to-face early math training that focuses on the most vital aspects of early math research and turn them into concrete suggestions for teachers to implement via activities and formative assessments.
We follow up with two webinars to discuss the classroom implementation of the activities described in the training.
The cost for 80 teachers (two facilitators) is $14,000 + travel expenses.

“Explicit explanations behind the thinking of math. Having this knowledge will help me better determine the gaps in student knowledge in math.”
“I absolutely loved today and found it so valuable. I learned more today about math than in my entire MA program. Thank you!. I will start immediately with 5 to 10 frames, counting groups.”
“After years of being in this business—you have reminded us to go back to basics and start with what the children can handle (i.e., five, rather that keep climbing). Quality vs. quantity”.
